Desarrollo de competencias mediante concursos de emprendimiento en estudiantes universitarios

Resumen


Este artículo examina las principales competencias percibidas por estudiantes de Administración de Empresas de la Universidad de Cuenca (Ecuador) que participaron en el Concurso de Emprendimiento "School of Thought 2025" de ACBSP (Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs), el cual incluyó presentaciones de propuestas de negocio en formato de pitch. Asimismo, identifica diferencias en el desarrollo de estas competencias entre los estudiantes que cursan el programa en modalidad dual y presencial. Para evaluar las diferencias significativas, se aplicó la prueba U de Mann-Whitney. Los resultados revelan una alta valoración de competencias como la implementación de ideas de negocio, la planificación y la organización, el aprendizaje experiencial y el trabajo en equipo. No se encontraron diferencias significativas entre ambas modalidades de estudio. Se recomienda a la universidad promover la participación de los estudiantes en concursos de emprendimiento, con el fin de potenciar el espíritu emprendedor y fortalecer el desarrollo de competencias.
