Resumen / Abstract

Los Learning Management Systems son herramientas informáticas en la web que permiten reunir diversos recursos que interactúan entre sí en un mismo lugar, con el fin de proveer un espacio para llevar a cabo un proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje. Como recurso innovador, los Learning Management Systems se vislumbran como elementos cuyas posibilidades son susceptibles de ser analizadas y valoradas. El presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo identificar las tendencias en investigación sobre Learning Management Systems, a partir del metaanálisis de 22 tesis de maestría. De esta manera, se identificaron las temáticas abordadas por las investigaciones, así como los enfoques, paradigmas, diseños e instrumentos, el sistema, nivel de formación y población de los estudios, las principales plataformas estudiadas y los aportes de los estudios.

Learning Management Systems are computer tools on the web that allow to gather diverse resources that interact with each other in the same place, in order to provide a space to carry out a teaching and learning processes. As an innovative resource, Learning Management Systems are seen as elements whose possibilities are valuable to be analyzed and assessed. This paper aimed to identify trends in research on Learning Management Systems, based on the meta-analysis of 22 master's theses. The main points of analysis are the topics addressed by the research, as well as the approaches, paradigms, designs and instruments, the system, level of education and population of the studies, the main platforms used and the results.
