Análisis del valor estratégico de las Islas Natuna para China

Resumen


China posee una clara estrategia en el mar del sur de China que pretende, no solo mejorar sus capacidades defensivas, con el objetivo de preservar la China continental, sino, que, sobre todo, persigue, garantizar una amplia zona de seguridad en todo el ámbito del Mar del Sur de China. Para posteriormente avanzar en sus operaciones en el Océano Índico, con el objetivo final, de no solo garantizar el libre tránsito para sus barcos en todo el mar del Sur de China, sino también, y sobre todo, proyectar poder en los Océanos Pacífico y Índico. Por ello, el control sobre las aguas de las Islas Natuna, bajo control indonesio, y reclamadas por China son esenciales en la consecución de dichos objetivos.
